Fitness Blog Critique

http://www.thegreatfitnessexperiment.com/

This is a fitness blog from a mom of 4. Her name is Charlotte Hilton (in the blog) and she talks about different health issues, news, or just random things that she has opinions on. The font in the blog could be more diverse as in the text for the posts and the post headlines. The theme of the blog is very juvenille looking so that  could definitely be turned into something more mature looking. The color scheme just does not match the kind of information that is trying to be protrayed. The topics in the blog are interesting but sometimes not all that exciting. They are geared more towards news stories instead of personal health, which is what the blog claims that it is trying to do. I think the "about me" section was great and explained a lot about the blogger. Shape magazine named The Great Fitness Experiment blog in the top 20 fitness blogs of the year. I am not sure that this blog deserves that because there are so many fitness blogs these days, but it is a good one. I would say it is not one for someone looking for fitness advice, but more for fitness guru's who are trying to keep up on the news. The blogger herself writes for the Huffington Post, and many other news venues. She also grades SAT essays as her day job.
